So. A certain friend of mine has expressed interest in trying out one of those miniature games that I play. Quizzing her for details, I find out that she likes specific goals (easily models with scenarios and objectives,) low model counts, and... a fantasy setting.
I toll around for a bit on the shelf of games I've bought and played over the years, and then, I figure, it's been a while since I challenged myself. Which is why I started writing AE-Fantasy.
Well, that's not entirely true. One of the reasons I pared down on all the games I was 'playing' to just a couple is because I find I know a system a lot better when I don't switch games every week. Which is why I've only played AE-WWII and Pulp City for 90% of the games I've played in the last 18 months. And it's done wonders.
Bounty slotted right in there with AE. And, the system is very adaptable, so... I just spent my lunch hour working on a Bounty team, to use with fantasy figures, for a few introductory games, to show how these things go. Lizardmen will be Graffi, one will have a Cloaking Field Talisman, etc. Everything is counts-as, no crazy ranged weapons. Will be melee-tastic fun. Only stumbling block so far is not a lot of variety in melee weapons, but shouldn't be an issue for the first couple games. Might (might) try to reintroduce the classic D&D piercing/slashing/crushing vs. different armors rules, if it gets around to that.
It's a fun exercise, and I'll make sure to post results once it's all done.

Nice. Post your factions, lists, heros and everything else you come up with.
