Hello everybody ;D
I haven't had the chance to get the game yet but I really want to. In preparation of getting the game I was wondering what templates, tokens etc... I would need to play ? Are the weapon templates the same as WW2 ? What weapons do they represent ? As far as activation, reloads etc.. what tokens would be useful ? About how many would a normal sized game need ?
Working on a cardboard spaceship setup atm. Just read otw 18. Those Bane seem pretty cool !

Hi! The templates can be found in WWII; However, I've been playing for a while now and don't even use templates for Bounty. I'll have to look for it, but there was a forum post asking this exact question and I don't remember the answer officially.
You also don't need tokens. Maybe if you like to keep track of wounds, but most models are one wound models, with options to go to two, possibly three if you trick a unit out right. I guess if a unit routs or runs you can put a token down to represent that, but it's not quite necessary.
The nice thing about this game is that you don't clutter up the board with tokens to "remind" you of what is in affect. Nicely, this game doesn't have continuous effects to keep track of, per se. Sometimes, abilities or skills will say "until next activation." If so, you might want something to remind yourself. Suppressive fire might be a good example for a possible token.
Using the crew templates and rules in the main book, you will not have any problems in game if you don't use tokens or templates. AoEs don't stay in play.
If you actively look for a use for tokens in Bounty, you can find some.
As I'm finishing up, there might be a need for a flamethrower template...I'm at work, so I'll look when I get home.
Welcome to the game!

I have some small 5mm dice, red for marking wounds (as far as I've worked out you can have 5 - 2 starting, +2 from Brute or unkillable and +1 from either redundant organs or adrenalin glands) and then black for marking drive penalties (saves me having to remember), though after the game tonight we agreed some markers for suppression wouldn't be amiss either.

When Matthew and I were playtesting we used different color glass beads from the art store. You can see them in some of the photos in the Core Rule book.

Those are the tokens I have and I ordered different coloured Drive tokens using their custom token system
