The last weekend of November, Phoenukz (Torben) and myself will be running participation games at Denmark's biggest alternative games convention - Horizont, Esbjerg. www.horisontesbjerg.dk/If you're in the neighbourhood, feel to pop in and say hi. We've got two boards standing ready, 5 or 6 crews ready to go to choose between and you're welcome to bring your own crew to play. Duncan

We intend to! Unfortunately the city board I had planned for Horizont isn't even half finished, so I've got my old desert/tatooine inspired board and a new forest board that's almost finished now. AE Bounty has been talked about quite a bit on the danish wargaming forum (Powerfist), so we're expecting quite a few folk turning up and giving it a go. Duncan

Well me and Torben are home after a long and fun weekend at Horizont. We arrived friday and set up before it officially opened on saturday, but before we grab a beer two games of Bounty were already under full steam. Saturday went pretty much the same way, we started the first game a little past 10 in the morning and the last game finished just after 2 the following night! We had two boards with us (as you can see from Torben's pictures), and there was often a game going on both boards. I think there was only just around two hours all in all in that time when Bounty wasn't being played, so we have no idea how many games ended up being played during the course of the weekend. We had 7 predesigned crews that people could choose between representing a wide variety of different types of crew, though some guys had even brought their own crews to play and try out the rules. People seemed to really take to the game. The mechanics are easy to pick up, so after some of them had played the first game, and Torben and I took a pause, they picked up the rulebook and played through it themselves! The fact that you can build crews as you want with whatever odd models you have/like really seemed to grab a lot of people - who doesn't know a gamer that has a bunch of models they got, painted and ended up having no game to use them for? We played foraging on the forest table and chance encounter on the desert table, with random secondary objectives. We're hoping to run a campaign day sometime next spring as a result. Duncan

Sweet. I really like the look of that forest table with the twigs stuck in there.
Nice work. How many converts did you get?

Both tables look great. It's killer to hear that Bounty went over well. We will have to send out support for your next outing. Shoot me an email and we will get you taken care of. Cheers, Robert Somewhere in California with a bunch of Army folk and their tanks.

That's very generous of you - thankyou! Bounty seems to being to get established over here, which is really nice. Duncan

Some more pictures of the forest table (people seem to have been quite taken by this board, which is surprising considering how quickly it was built and how cheaply!) Duncan

I spy Necromunad bulkheads in there too. Ah, eternally useful even after all these years ;D
Lovely board by the way.

Where are your vehicles from?
I can't wait for vehicle rules in Bounty if / when it happens.

The vehicles and bunkers are Phoenukz's so I can't take any credit for them, but they added the perfect centrepiece to the board. I think the vehilce are Old Crow, but I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong. Duncan

Really looks great Duncan, a shame the missus at home became ill on thursday so I had to stay home and watch the kids the entire weekend while she recuperated(sp?) in bed.

I might be taking it to 'Do or Dice' in Kiel in march, if you happen to be there. It was a great weekend, and vastly bigger and better than last year. Duncan
