@ varagon - I know what you mean. I'm a heavy narative theme player tossed in a group of min/maxers. I feel so alone some days 'sniff' (enter Sci Fi game sympathy here). Cool I'll base it around one of my fav minis and let it go at that.

@ gnomesofzurich - I'm glad you caught this. I was going with the 'anything but a 1' and it's a hit. To be honest I'm torn - if I went with a human Sniper his stats I think would be better overall. Do you think I'm being redundant using a Pollux? I mean if his - 1 RC doesn't make that big a difference and his night vision is already redundant with the cyberntic eyes is he worth keeping or swapping out for a human with Sniper X? I kind of like the idea of a Pollux Sniper with the Tank Hero type, giving RC 2+ with a heavy weapon, as well as an appropriate gear choice; my choices would be from among Articulated Weapon Harness, Cybernetic Arms and Rapid Reloader, most likely. Although, a Rocket Launcher with HE Rockets or Smart Weapon ammunition would also be fun.

I like your idea of the Pollux Sniper with the Tank template. It's a very unorthodox view of what and who a Sniper is. I imagine the Pollux Tank Sniper with a HRF Particle Cannon with a Reloader. To be honest it's so thematically out there I love it.
Then again I've always been a big fan of the run and shoot snipers. Given that a regular until only has two actions to use it either means a weapon of 1:1 of lesser range but that I can move and shoot in the same round. Or a weapon of 1:2 of much better range but then I'm stuck in the move one round and fire the next.
I won't even mention the hell I'm going to go through looking for the miniatures to represent my Sniper, Veteran Sergeant of my Fresh Meat. But hopefully this week I'll be having several bounty games so I can fine tune my list.

I think I've got almost all the Bounty models now except the ones that are only available in the starter...I've been using a ton of Infinity models as well as a few Reaper models.
I so can't wait for the Bounty line to flesh out as time passes.

I'm using Infinity and Ikore models right now. I'm also using my old Warhammer 40K Chaos Space Marines for playtesting new groups. One of the things I love about AE bounty is it gives me a reason to grab the odd mini from games I wouldn't otherwise play.

So, I played my first set of AE Bounty Games and loved it. Mostly, I was destroyed in the first game. I blame the high gravity and the fact my opponent had a 2-man crew with multiple copies of dirty tricks AND we played a scenario where my entire team had to wait to deployed one unit per round.
I was chewed up alive.
The second game: was a whole different story.
Using coordinated attack I unloaded a particle beam rifle and two LRF Slug Throwers into a First Mate. Everyone missed but the one hired gun. He must have been angry as he scored three direct hits and reduced the First Mate into a bloody smear against the wall.
Though the MVP goes to the fresh meat. The enemy pirate captain teleported right in front of them. When the FM got their activate they both got their Slug Thrower Rifle shots in and killed him out right. It was a great little victory for the little guys.
I have to say learned a fair bit: 1) tactics divide smaller forces and make them come after you 2) beam weapons with higher damage ratios are far better than slug-throwers IMHO when it comes to high gravity. 3) Cutters and the Sniper did almost nothing both games. I'm debating about pitching the cutters and replacing the Sniper with a Tank Sniper.
All in all it was great fun. Also, scenarios with weather conditions make a HUGE difference to the gaming experience. Very nice indeed. It was funny because we play another table top game and my buddy kept saying that it's a lot like this and my reply was: in some ways but the other game is scenario based and doesn't come with any scenarios.
Too bad. I love playing AE Bounty. Perhaps, I'll just paint the other one.

However, the weather effect was acid rain. Stupid rain killed two of the three hostages before my turn even started. Great fun, at that point, to just go for the kill. lol

Oh man, I know that feeling.
During the first game I was thinking to myself, "Why the hell would my mercenaries take this contract anyway."
It was a game were everything went epically wrong. Though that said it was also a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to my next game in spades!
I'll have to refine my army list and create some for boarding actions as that is what I'm really looking forward to playing.

Wait with the sniper is all I would say. Mine has paid out heavily in most of the game sit has played in. But yes scenarios do alter the game play alot! Duncan

Someone mentioned the Sniper with the Tank hero template. I'm a little skeptical but I think it might be worth a shot. I mean, the players I faced would either stay out of sight OR they would teleport within range and then use their Dirty Trick to activate again and gun him down. The upside of this that they were so pre-occupied with him they don't pay attention to my Fresh Meat who end up doing the impossible ...
(looks sideways at them)
... regularly.
That said there's a sale going on and I picked up a nice little VOID sniper. I think it's actually a limited edition. I got it for $1.95. I actually spent $10 and five miniatures. The Sniper, Heavy Chain Gunner and three armed with some kind of light plasma pistol.
I'm also thinking of switching most of my weapons over to Particle Beam as I'm tired of high gravity screwing with my beautiful slug-throwers.

I so can't wait for the Bounty line to flesh out as time passes. Agreed. I'm eager for new sculpts for the Bounty races. If they were single-part models, for the most part, I'd be even happier.
