I was looking at picking up a coupe of new models and I am curious about experiences with the US Tesla Gun Teams. It seems like the Cumbersome on the TEG would make them very hard to use. The short range seems like such a liability with a unit that cannot move and shoot. I love the TEGs on a Buffalo that has been charged up by a mechanic though. So, how well do the support teams work for everyone?
Also, am I correct in assuming you can give Rifle Grenades to just about a full army?
Could I legally field: (US Vet Detachment)
Elite Officer - Carbine, Rifle Grenades Vet Sniper (Hero) - Rifle Grenades Vet Bazooka - Rifle Grenades for Loader Reg Airborne - 1 Rifle Grenade Reg Airborne - Bar and Rifle Grenade Reg Airborne - 1 Rife Grenade Sniper - Rifle Grenade
I am still playing out of the Core book, but at this point it really feels like the basic infantry choices are weaker than either individuals or specialists that they compete with. What does everyone feel is the benefit of regular or green infantry squads?

I've used green infantry when I know that I'll be defending in the scenario and just park them somewhere where they can shoot and/or suppress incoming troops. Their only real benefit is to sacrifice them to upgrade something else - but sometime you've got to take them to fill out your detachment.
I agree with you about the short range of the Tesla gun - the only way I would use one would be as passengers on a jeep to get them around faster.

Rifle grenades are something we'll be revisiting. I was never happy with Matt's rules for them. Rifle grenades were never as plentiful as the current rulings state. To hand them out wholescale to an entire detachment should require a SO, and probably will in future.

Sounds fair. Although there are so many other things to use SO's for.
I think just limiting them to Infantry units and one rifle type per faction would go a long way towards making them sane.

Wasn't the rifle grenades something only used by a "specialist" within the companies and platoons? This would then be translated into something down this line: For every 3 infantry selections in the detachment, one soldier in the squad, may substitute his hand grenades with Rifle grenades before deployment. This option should only be available to selected standard Infantry troop types armed with a Rifle, eg. GI Infantry Squad, Airborne Infantry Squad, Wehrmacht Infantry Squad etc.
