When choosing your equipment for units, if the unit is a squad, does each model in the squad have to take the same equipment?
Example: I am building a Merc Crew and select Cutters, which has a Composition of 2 Mercenaries. Equipment is 1 Melee and 1 Gear. Do the cutters have to both be equipped with 1 Pike and Cybernetic Arms or could I choose different equipment for each? Cutter 1 - Pike and Cybernetic Arms, Cutter 2 - Heavy Weapon and Redundant Vital Organs.
Thanks

Yeah, each member of the squad has to have the same stuff. I can't point you to a specific page number but it's in there somewhere.

Thanks. I found a reference on pg 45 "All models in a single unit (squads) must possess the same pieces of gear."
I cannot find the same rule for weapons. Must all models in a squad posses the same weapon?

I'd guess so, going from the gear. Duncan

I'd say that the entire unit must have the same gear, equipment, weapons, etc.

I'd say that the entire unit must have the same gear, equipment, weapons, etc. Thats generally how I play it. I wouldn't be averse to models within a squad being armed with differing weapons though, as long as my opponent models them correctly and informs me. Can't see any power game advantage to doing so certainly. For gear though, both by the rules and mostly for keeping track of fiddly bits, both the same makes sense.

Yes to both. But nothing says you can't do otherwise. The rules are there as a guide line to help you on your way. If you and your opponet both agree to something different roll with it.

That sentiment should be more widespread in the gaming industry... why isn't it? Having a loyal fan base, should be what carries a company through even when they make bad decisions, and not their ability to attract new customers due to a brand name. Us old geezers get scoffed and find other systems and in the end can be a potential buzzkill for the younger generation with our bitterness. I believe that many of the younger companies have learned alot from GWs errors and go out of their way to not repeat them. But that is just an educated guess...

Yeah, see pg. 28. Hidden a bit, but with careful reading you'll see it. Duncan
