COGS: genetically purified race of 9 feet tall clones. Due to their size hiding is difficult so they are all equipped with a portable force field. very accurate shooters. Fiercely loyal to their racial command structure. COGS: -1RC, free field type gear choice, Reduced cover Reduced Cover: A models with this trait gains 1 point less cover than usual due to it's size

Reduced cover doesn't seem all that negative to me. If you're using the COG models then it's going to be difficult to get decent cover anyway, but if you're not, then not sure how much of a negative modifier it's really going to be.

If they take a cloaking field the math almost comes out neutral when they are behind medium cover. It's a little better for high strength attacks and a little worse for low strength attacks. In plain sight the cloaking field is better.

Drop the field, they are good enough with just the -1RC and -1Cover.

Perhaps this profile needs some more work. Instead of making another "Pollux that is not a Pollux" here's another approach.
The fluff says they are good shooters, easy to spot due to their size and use force fields to counter that weakness.
Shooting can be improved by "Steady Hands" instead of -1RC. This will make them equal Pollux on long range with non-electrolasers.
There's a small stature rule for Chort. We could have a Large Stature rule similar. The rule will read:
Large Stature: A model with this trait is easier to hit due to its size. Direct fire ranged attacks against this model gain -1 RC bonus to hit
Indirect fire is not improved as it targets a point on the battlefield and scatters from there. The larger base on the model already helps AOE attacks to hit.
The field technology is very thematic for them so that stays. A cloaking field would just negate the Large stature, so we'll limit the choice between Personal energy screen or personal magnetic field.
So the stat line could read:
COGS: Steady hands, Large stature, Personal energy screen or magnetic field.
Large Stature: A model with this trait is easier to hit due to its size. Direct fire ranged attacks against this model gain -1 RC bonus to hit
This makes them a more interesting choice than before. Their role would be as long range shooters with non-"electrolaser" weapons. They are very vulnerable to either kinetic or energy attacks and would require careful navigation on the battlefield. Remember that natural 1's always fail so the classic pollux sniper with electrolaser would still only hit on 2+

The RC bonus needs to be "-1 RC bonus to hit', I think.
