Been playing a few games over the last couple of nights, having a great time but a few rules queries came up that I can't seem to find the answers for. Sorry if they are buried somewhere in the rules but I'm missing them, somehow 1.) Cohesion. What happens if a squad member cannot get back into cohesion on his next activation? Is there a penalty to Drive or anything. Also, can a squad member do anything else whilst trying to get back into cohesion, ie fire? 2.) Grenades. If a target is in-sight are grenades still used using the indirect fire ruling or are they treated as per normal ranged combat? 3.) Cover. If a LoS is traced to a target and it crosses multiple cover types do you use all the cover modifiers? For example. my target can be seen but its through a tree, over a bush, through some wire mesh fencing and the target is behind a low wall, this happened in last night's game, we played it that the wall was the only cover to be used, for simplicity, but my opponent wasn't too sure and argued that every cover type would count against the shot, which I guess in the real world would make sense. What do you think? 4.) Out of Ammo Dirty Trick, does the unit that this is played against have to spend AP to reload? Many thanks

I'd say: 1) just keep trying to get back into cohesion and yes, can act normally as long as they are heading back to cohesion by the quickest route possible. So if they are 8" away, they'd need to sprint to get back (most likely) so couldn't do anything else, but if only 3" out of cohesion, then can act normally whilst getting back.
2) As far as I understand it, 'nades are always unpredictable and so there's the chance they might bounce oddly at any point, indirect or not.
3) Just one type. Otherwise the bonuses are enormous!
4) Nope. Just can't shoot during their next activation (like a jam or something).

Thanks Cilionelle, good to see that we played the cover rule correctly (though my opponent won't be happy), but you are quite right, the modifiers would get enormous - which is what I argued. We did play the grenade rule wrong though, because the target was in sight we played it as direct fire which ended up killing one of my Vets. Good to get that one corrected. The cohesion rule was played correctly too but didn't feel quite right to us as it involved a squad member doing as you said - sprinting back into cohesion, but he ignored a target en route that could have swung the game back in my favour had he scored a decent hit. Thanks for your input, much appreciated
