It's been quite some time that I saw the game, but I had not given any real thoughts in starting it, till I saw the robot models. So, I wanted to ask you to give me some clues about the game. Its mechanics, its gameplay, etc
Also:
1) How many figures do you usually need for a regular game?
2) How big/small following does the game have in the UK?
3) Is it loosing ground or is it in its growth face? (I am trying to avoid the C3 disappointment here)
Thanks

1) Typically 6-12 figures are used in most detachments. You can go with more, sacrificing troop quality for numbers, or you can go with less, upping troop quality or getting a vehicle. Probably 20 figures would be considered a lot for a typical detachment. It's also possible to play with multiple detachments, doubling the size of your force if you choose to do so. However most players use a single detachment in a game.
2) Not sure about the UK. I'll let some of the guys on that side of the pond speak to that. However, I'll let you know there is a British faction out there. A sneak peak of the regular army (non-weird units) was featured in an Over the Wire article last year. Also some of the occult units (Ministry of Arcane Armaments) were featured Occult Expansion book and tanks and a few of the weird science units (Section Q) was featured in the Basra 1946 book. Also as allies you can mix with the American list (up to 50%) with the British. There is a full sourcebook in the works for the British Commonwealth army list inclued lots more Section Q and MoAA stuff. I myself have just finished up a detachment full of Paratroopers and am now got the parts together to build a regular army detachment.
3) Not sure what C3 is but I've had more people involved playing it over the past few years and there's a ton of more material coming out. One thing that appeals to lots of people is that it's very scaleable not only in size but in the level of weirdness you want to have. It's been used as a straight up conventional WWII skirmish game (no weirdness) by some gamers on TMP.

Considering Darkson has been here for several years, just released Bounty last year, and several expansions, new products (See the Skunkwerkz), and more, Darkson isn't going anywhere.
We're looking for Partisans, volunteers to help spread the word as well, so things are definitely on the right track.

We were hit hard with the change over to our new caster after a lack in performance over the last year from our previous caster. We are rebuilding and pressing on.
We have opened up our direct web shop so fans can get the latest models as soon as they are released.
We are going to be around for a while to come. Keep an eye out as we move the war to the pacific.
Cheers, Robert
