In the Mind Control power for Master Mentalists is says that killing yourself is 1Ap.
Does an Unkillable get their 5+ save vs a Mind control induced suicide attempt? Can you use the ‘kill yourself’ action without being mind controlled? Eg to detonate your own self destruct device when surrounded?

Hmm. Good questions. Let me ask the crew.

Another Mind Control question - if a Unit is Suppressed and you mind control them, what actions can you make them do?

I would think that you could make them come out of suppression since it would be a bad thing, and that's what you want them to do- something bad.

here's what I was thinking; An Unkillable should get it's 5+ save, but can keep trying as long as it has AP to spend. You should be able to use the 'kill yourself' action, in scenarios it may need a Drive check, or maybe only do it when Drive = 0 and you can't run.
Suppression is a grey area, as being suppressed limits what a unit can do, but the limit is because the unit is trying to stay alive. If you don't care if they get hurt you should be able to force them to act normally.

I would rule against using any protective traits that aren't triggered by natural or intuitive defences. Because the defences are blocked from being activated by the mindcontrol power (IE. the idea of using the lucky charm to protect oneself is removed). Likewise for the same reason I would also allow breaking suppression, as cognitive reason is being overwritten, and thus also the idea of selfpreservation.

Here's what we came up with: Re: Unkillable save - I would say that yes, you always get that save. Re: Suicide - sure. 1 AP to knock your own model off at any time.
