In the late war, with the Allies now holding almost total air control over Germany the Wermacht came up with a new design to combat the problem. Local AA guns could all to easily be spotted by spy planes and taken out bu fighter bombers. To avoid this the Germans developed the "Flak Mecha". This consists of a flak cannon and observers on a platform. The platform is then attatched to legs that allow the platform to raise and lower itself. This means that the Germans can hide these under the tree canopy where spy planes cannot see them but when the air raid occurs they turn the machine on, raise the platform above the trees and can fire at will into at the bombers.

Extremely cool art as well as theme. Would perhaps make a good objective, since it's sufficiently large and important to be the goal of a small scenario. That fellow's website has some other cool-looking stuff, like the kamikaze "bomb-men", the "shellshocker" mech, and the blizzard soldiers.
Very cool find!
