Well working on my IJA, I have to finish up my marines to counter them. Even though there's no official rules out for them, I still had to get these done. The Bolt Action figures from Warlord seem like a perfect collection of figures with lots of the necessary units. They do come with a few vignette figures however. One in particular was the mortar team, which somes in a 3 man team in the process of assembling the mortar. You can see more of these guys here at my blog, Addicted to Pewter.

My first post here...
I must say that you did a wonderful job on those marines. I have some myself. Good figures but I cant understand why Warlord games made some helmets with netting? as far as I know the marines didnt use it. But maybe Im wrong.
Can I ask for the colors you used? as I think these are spot on I would like to try it myself.

Thanks for the compliments.
I ended up painting the fatigues using Reaper Olive Shadow with Faded Olive highlights. For the rest of the colors, including the camo on the helmet covers I used the guide that Warlord put out on their site. I can't seem to find that site at the moment, otherwise I'd link it.
However I pretty much remeber using Vallejo Brown Violet for the bare helmets, Grey Green for the combat webbing (with Citadel Griffon Sepia Glaze), and Reaper Muddy Brown for the boots (with a Citadel Badaab Black Glaze).
