Since this will happen in the game at some point. How can we incoorporate occult items on our heroes? I was thinking it would be cool to have heroes with all sorts of special items which could be both high tech and occult.
Items Ive been thinking about as sometihng rather simple would be a small jewel, be this a ring, amulet, wrist band, you name it.
Ideas for powers: -Healing, enables the wearer to recover from a fatal wound; -Distorted view, makes it harder for the enemy to see the wearer, making it harder to aim at the target, high chance that they miss the wearer while shooting at him; -Protection: gives the wearer protection from enemy attacks, you could see it as an armour upgrade. -Rage: gives the wearer a moment of rage in which close combat attacks would be more effective.
Other items could be magical helmets, weapons, armour and so on and on. However these items shouldnt be too powerful. I liked the idea that these items could give your character a little boost but it wouldnt purely define the character.

I've mostly been thinking of technological oddities as strange one off devices: i.e. super explosive grenades that might just go off in your hand...
On the occult field I see most of the stuff as being aids to occultism (i.e. increased control over experiments/occult creatures, better spellcasting ability.) A few bizarre objects too: a one use crystal skull that when revealed from its shroud forces all enemies in LoS to pass a Dr test like an armour save with immediate death if failed etc.

Was thinking about some kind of foretelling device, like some small bones with runes carved onto them, or tarot cards, which would give your heroes some pre- battle advantage, like being able to reposition a unit, or forseeing victory, and therefore give your units a drive bonus, as they belive they will win the fight, etc.
Maybe some indian trinkets for the Americans, I remember a movie, Maverick, with a cowboy who carried the eye of an eagle which (supposedly) made him better at shooting.

Some device to see hidden enemies? Cursed bullets homing on a specified target? Vril-powered paralyzing ray ?

Good source for this kind of stuff might be the Return to Castle Wolfenstein, BloodRayne (dunno about 2 as I never played that one)
Another avenue for the Germans are sonic weapons, while Americans did some wierd stuff with bat bombs - perhaps mechanical bird bombs, dare I say it... even pigeon bombs...

One of my favorite tv series of all time was the British Ultraviolet. The govt agents have graphite bullets, essentially coal, which is wood. They work on vamps like a stake. Very cool.

The Americans actually built a "Death Ray" in the 1930's that could kill snakes. Sadly it took 8 minutes and the snake had to be restrained so it didn't move!
I think the idea of nicking ideas from pulp is a good one. There is certainly plenty in the shows, movies and comics you've mentioned.
