Awesome stuff! I'm jealous of that Rhaina Todd, and you gave her a nice paint job too, hehe. It's all great and really inspirational to see so many nicely done models!
That Nazi chick in the jumpsuit is pretty nifty. She looks like the Elite Guard enemies in Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Very cool.
I may have to find Dog Soldiers as well...

Thanks! Here's my vampire I just finished. Well I picked up this model from FRP Games pretty cheap. He's called Eamon the Vampire and is a Special Edition model from West Wind's Secrets of the Third Reich. Darkson hasn't released a vampire yet and I wasn't too crazy about the standard German Vampire from the SotTR line, and this one was on sale for less than $2!! Bonus Deal. The figure has lots of character as a great vampire villian. Not only does his fangs give away to his true nature but looking closely his ears are mounted high up along the sides of his head, as if starting to form bat ears. He carries a dagger and a there's even a ring on his finger. Furthermore, looking closely at his wrists I noticed these were not chains but bundles of dogtags, from his victims no doubt. I mounted him on a Micro Arts Studio cobblestone base and painted him up using Vallejo Fieldgrau pants and gave him a black leather jacket, that is just haning over his shoulders. The flesh was done using Reaper Pale Flesh as a base, then I used a thin flesh wash with a little bit of Reaper Ashen Blue mixed in. Then I highlighted it with a thinned down Reaper Pale Flesh Highlight. The eyes are dotted with large black pupils that amost fill in the eyesocket, giving him sort of a nocternal predator look (reminded me a lot of the vamps from 40 Days of Night). I then finished him off with some of the gore mix I was using for my Werewolf. Finishing the base off, I ramdomly hit each stone with a different shade of grey. Then after the black inkwash and Dullcote, I filled the gutter with some Tamiya Clear paint. My bottle of Tamiya Clear has thickened up to the point that I use it for drool and other oozing things. It filled the gutter without running out the ends. Before the clear goo cured, I mixed up a fresh batch of red gore and thinned it with Future Floor wax for that glistening look and touched up the blood and added some drips on the ground and dabbed a few into the clear goo to make it look like blood running down the gutter. Then I glazed the stones with some excess Future and dabbed a little on the jacket to give it a wet look.

Oooh Eamon. Nice. I play SOTR for my large-scale battle game, have a Mech Grenadier army. Looked at this guy a lot but not picked him up yet, may have to now...
What's in the hand that's not holding the knife? It's not the edge of his jacket is it? Can't quite tell...

Nothing in the left hand, just a dark spot between the thumb and fingers. He does have more dog tags hanging from his left wrist however.

<yodelling music background>I am Hanz.unt I am Franz.unt ve are here to .....<sound of two weapon safeties disengaging>.....PUMP YOU UP!Zatiz light. Ve are no mere complooter genalated GIRLy man SS DOOMtloopers. No! Ve are flesh unt blood unt all mussul. Ve can pick up ze heavy veapons unt uze dem as if dey ver mere toys. Ve are Rholingsoldats, also known to you puny little girly men as.......German Ogres!I just completed my Rholingsoldats and I couldn't resist calling them Hanz & Franz after the Saturday Night Live skit. Both of these are the same Darkson Designs models. However you get optional arms to equip them with either a dual Panzershrek or a modfied MG42. These guys are walking support weapons, which can lay down lots of continuous fire and not have to worry about reloading (as they carry so much ammo on them). There are also more than one heads that go along too. Coincidentally I ended up using the same head for both models. I mounted Hanz on a standard 40mm lipped base with some bitz from my bin. I used part of a GW tank trap and buried it in sand and glue along with a piece of plaster to make a broken slab of concrete. Then I used some GW razor wire, coiled it up and buried part of it in sand and CA glue. Franz was mounted on one of the new Micro Arts Studios 40mm Trench bases.

Despite being down with two colds, I've been on a Weird War II roll lately. My latest work is Ginger Snaps from Eureka's Sgt. Steel's Dogfaces line and Liberty from Westwind's Secrets of the Third Reich line. Ginger is an embedded reporter and the inspiration for my War Correspondant unit proposal. Liberty is from the SotTR line and is a Sentinel of Freedom, sort of a Captain America supersoldier type unit. I painted her up like on the back cover as she's like a female Captain America but packs a .30 cal MG instead of a shield. However the 'packed' MG she has didn't seem to show any magazine or belt, so I added one from a Tamiya American GIs at Rest sprue. She's mounted on a Micro Arts Studios base. The star on her shirt is painted perfectly but looks really distorted as it bends around her chest. I guess my wash really didn't show up in the photo. I figure Liberty would make a good American One-Man Army hero type. Also I've been tooling around with the idea of having superheroes (ala The Invaders) into the AE-WWII universe.

Coming soon!Yes, check back in April for the superhero issue of OTW. I think you guys will really like it. There are lots of options to reward your creativity and modeling in this area. -Chris

Those are some fine looking mini's. I especially like the vampire and werewolf. I don't care for most of the SOTR mini's, a little too out there for me.

For what I consider a good Weird War vampire, check out the one Bolt Action has.
Very nice paintjobs all around. Love the Brutes and the Homonculus.
