Allright, thats is specially for skorzeny and unknowntales. I found my notes for a story concept and work a lil bit on it. The Idea was, 1944 D-Day, the allies come to europe, but don't found a lot germans. Where are they? They fight, against who? Against the Mjölnir Division. My Idea was, that Hitler dies, and now there two german Party and want the Might over germany. The Wehrmacht want the old system of the Kaiser and the Division Mjölnir a weird mix of mythology and nationalsocialism. I think i must work on the Details, not the Technology more the ideology. I hope that Skorzeny and Unknowtales can help me.
btw: Excuse my mistake, my english isn't really good yet....

I'd maybe set it later than D-Day. Use the real events of the July Plot with the difference that it succeeds and Hitler is blown up in the Wolf's Lair. The OKW stages its coup and seizes control of Berlin, perhaps even arresting a few prominent Nazis (they tried to get Goebbels, historically). Opposing them, however, is Himmler and the SS, who still control a great portion of the country and perhaps the German soldiers on the Eastern Front who accept the SS position that the men who have killed Hitler and seized power are traitors. If Goering is still around, the Nazis may still control most of the Luftwaffe, which could make things a bit rough on the conspirators.

Hmm there is this computer game about an alternate WWII in which Hitler has been assassinated. Basicly a different German leadership.
The Red Alert games were also based on this alternative history, but then instead of Germans they had Allies against Soviets.

Here's a few thoughts for the background:
Since Moljinir is from Thor, the god of lightning, thunder, wind, and rain. I would divide the Divisions into four main armies. Using a patch of each (eg A bolt of lightning) for the unit symbols.
Certainly indoctrination into the newly organized armed forces (the wind = luftwaffe branch) would require an oath. They would need to attend a Blót. Here's the definition... Blót The Blót was the pagan Germanic sacrifice to Norse gods and Elves. The word derives from Proto-Germanic *blodam "blood". English to bless is a verbal derivation, from *bloþisojan "mark with blood". They could take place in a specially designed ampetheatre called a hov. A building where the blóts took place was called a hov (cf. German Hof) and there are many place names derived from this in e.g. Scania, West Götaland and East Götaland.
Now. Obediance to the new commander would be absolute. Thier model of the SS would be employed.
Do you want to focus on a mission in this new universe, political infighting, or major alternative campaigns? When you decide which are is your #1,2, and 3, we'll create a protagonist and his advisary. The rest of the supporting characters will fall into place.
Comments?

Some critice: Thor was much more than just stormy weather, he was the god of the warrior, a war god, and the ultimate ideal for the ancient Nordic fighting man. I would saye focus more on Thor's role as a warrior god, as that was his primary duty. Wind and rain weren't his aspects, just thunder. Inspired by the legends of the god, the generals of the mjölnir project recognize prowess in combat as the only sign of power, and wish to create a militaristic alternative to the German socity, with some of the racial ideas thrown in, such as "Aryans" being the master race, etc. Thor was the protecter of humankind, fighting endessly against the jætter (trolls/giants) that plagued the humans. The leaders of the Mjölnir project intercept this as Thor being the guardian of the "Aryan" race, fighting against the "inferior" races. Otherwise, I think the idea works quite well.

At first, the Mjölnir Concept is awesome. Some of my first thoughts were Gungnir (the spear of Odin) a part army, the storm troop of Mjölnir the "spearhead". The thing with the sacrifices, i thought that the leadership of Mjönir are more priests than soldiers. Maybe they called themselves Druids like the native priests of the germanics. A kind of blood religion is the core of Mjölnir. I thought on the bezerk (german: Beserker) cult, they use ocult rituals to make themself stronger, maybe they use demons for battles in combination with the gentech. At the momment i think they got a strong religious Ideology of Blood and War Gods, not the same like the germanic but based on the germanic culture. They build monumental temples like the plans of the giant "Volkshalle" in Germania (futuristic dreamcity of hitlfer self) I think their mission is to convert all arier and subject the others. I think the Maincharacters are the Leaders a kind of mystic lodge, than the leaders of the partarmys, than i work on chara.sheets for field commanders i think i call them wardruids or battledruids. A idea for the infantry exist too, i thought they fight more with blades than with guns, maybe magic blades. I want a mix between ocultic and hightech gentech for that party. so questions? comments?

Interesting for sure. If he's a Necromancer might I suggest some Norse death symbols.
