It's possibly a little early for us to start thinking about terrain ideas for Bounty, but I found a couple that are begging to be shared. A friend sent me links to two cardstock miniatures, scaled for 28mm figures. The first is the Transatmospheric fighter, the second is a Utilitarian combat transport. I don't know about you, but I think they're pretty frakkin' sweet Has anybody else seen any good terrain out there?

Sorry I will always be a fan of GW stuff. They do a lot to get new blood into the hobby and it is how I got into the hobby in the 80's. Great looking terrain. Keep them coming.

I hope people won't get all emotional over this because it's GW related stuff.... Quite the opposite, actually. I'm hoping that their new Space Hulk terrain is just as kewl (if only partially so). Here's some more terrain. It may be a little too gothic, but it is pretty light on the skulls. I do like the modular and interactive aspects, too.

Heh, I suspect there will be much exploring of the ruins of some vast, interstellar gothic civilization. Of course, they have to watch out for power armored knights guarding those ruins against an enemy long gone.

The idea of worlds once inhabited by now extinct societies (be it human or alien) does sound very interesting to me...a gigantic ghost metropolis (instead of just a ghost town), partly in ruin, partly still functioning...

Think of Star Wars where each planet is different.

And still most Star Wars planets fall into a certain vibe. I mean, look at Earth, you got tons of different environments, climates and so on. Most sci fi worlds only have a single type. So it would be "ice world", "jungle world" and so on.
Also, most worlds are perfectly terraformed or just a bit different, but nothing too weird. I would love to see worlds which are totally alive, or with seas from acid or whatever. Kind of get that weird Aeon Flux in the mix! ;D

Robot Chicken addressed this issue in a recent Star Wars special episode Very funny skit where an aquatic Krayt dragon decides to leave his lake and search for water elsewhere. He remarks that 'surely a world could not be defined by a single terrain feature'. Anyway, many varied worlds sounds great. That will leave plenty of room for interesting terrain choices.

You might want to check out Philip Sibbering's concept of the Ecopolis. Over at the Troll Forged forums somebody is trying to build some possible Ecorium terrain: link.

The fights on ships is I think going to be the most popular games played. Matt has made these games something that everyone has been looking for in a corridor/ship/space style game. Getting sucked out of the ship =SUCK.... Teleporting and missing the ship and ending up in space =SUCK.

The Ecopolis was Philips Sibbering's interpretation of the 40k universe though. However, the Ecopolis/Ecorium is part of another project we are working on called Sciror. So...when can we expect more info on the upcoming AE Bounty stuff? Any more teasers? I thought there was going to be a teaser Tuesday?

I think fights on ships have always been popular. Just look at Space hulk for that.
I will be honest, some models haven't intrigued me, but I am interested in this game.
It helps that we have a space station/ship board at our LGS we can use.

This game has more potential to draw in new gamers than AE-WWII. It's a harsh truth, but the miniatures, terrain, and even rules can be bigger, flashier. The kind of stuff that will get attention at cons or in stores.
I think it'd be a good time to pay some of my terrain building friends to work on a massive table filling space ship or starbase terrain. Maybe invest in the worldworks stuff, print off a bunch of the tiles cheap from an overseas printer.
