My idea would be that Britain kicks them out but using the new technology the Germans are back. Something Lawrence of Arabia like would be lots of fun too. Lawrence was WWI, the Arabians joined for independence from the Ottoman empire...I dont think they would be that coorporative towards the British in WWII...especially not since they've been tricked by the British. I could see local guerillas joining the Axis who they believe to be the liberators from British imperialism. I think that we should keep the war in North Africa to be a long and difficult war in which both the British and Germans have good technology.

Well Iraq was anti British and had lots of men/support but were destroyed by Local British troops stationed at an airbase. Iraq was very divided. Egypt was still British and they liked Britain well enough. Many lower down African countries were ex colonies so they would probably fight for whoever had/did own them. I agree N. Africa should be a long drawn out war, lots of raiding in particular.

There were various groups in Egypt who were more than tired of British domination and saw the Nazis as liberators, the idea of a civil war against the British growing there sounds quite interesting to me. Kind of fits with the "tragic" feel Great Britian had this century...practically losing their entire empire after this war.

Losing isnt quite correct...giving back in most cases....still i know what you mean! I just thought a civil war would be more 'fair' if there are pro and anti British countries (or even groups). In fact an idea i have is for SOE (Special Operations Executive) officers to lead various partisans (be thye French Resistence or Titos Yugoslavian communists).
