Has anyone tried Hobby Armor Depot? They appear to have a very wide selection of WWII and modern and seem to be dipping into the sci-fi range. Many of the vehicles listed in the core rulebook are found in his selection. Prices seem pretty competitive. Some of the early stuff that's painted dosn't look so good but after looking at a lot of the unfinished photos I suspect the paintjobs are just not doing the castings justice. Judging from the site, it's a pretty small operation and dosn't seem to be getting much exposure. I'm wondering if this might be an opportunity for Darkson Designs to perhaps work out a deal to sell these through DD as AE-WWII models and make stats for the rest of his WWII line. then commision some custom parts like Tesla Cannon Turrets and stuff for the more sci fi things.

It would be very cool to have a quasi official line for vehicles - though for the fun stuff we will need more vehicle rules. But not before Occult!!

Added a link to the bottom of the Willy Jeep. Tamiya has a cool web only deal for $15 for a version signed by Mr. Tamiya.

You are more than welcome to use the Bug instead of the wagon. Just use the same stats and let the other player know what you are doing. ;D
Nice looking kit.

I bought both a Tamiya Kubelwagon and a Schwimwagen real cheap. They look great by the models.

I've got a number of Corgi 1/43rd scale Willy's Jeeps and Kublewagens. I've got a number of 1/48th scale New Millenium Panzer IVs and a Monogram Tiger I.
Also just finished up a 1/48th Tamiya M20 Scout Car and a Hobbyboss M4 Sherman, which I upgraded with a Tesla Cannon.

I just picked up this Sd.Kfz.222, from a Ukrainian company called ICM, at a local hobby shop yesterday. It cast about $22. Started assembling it, a very nice kit. Pretty much as far as I can tell, the only difference between the 222 and the 221 in the AE book is the additional 30mm cannon. Fit is good, however there's some slight flash along the edges that needs some trimming. Some parts attach to the sprue somewhat wierd, requiring a little extra cleaning. Fit is very good so far. What irks me is that none of the parts are numbered, so you do need to look at the directions very carefully. It also comes with a photo-etched mesh screen for the turret.

A Tamiya repackage of the ICM SdKfz 222 kit just came out. Hopefully it's got better plastic molding. It has some additional detail parts as well. It hasn't quite made it to Tamiya USA yet - but when it does I'll get it. Here's a picture www.hlj.com/product/TAM89777An Italian armored car is coming out later this month...hopefully it will make its way into the future AE-WWII European expansion? www.hlj.com/product/TAM89778

I wonder if the Tamiya version comes with the 'rotary' looking wheel hubs like the european painted version on the front of the ICM kit?
Style wise, that's one of the thngs I like about the 222! I do like Tamiya kits, the etch parts would be nice, but I'd be disappointed if it only came with the Afrika style wheels.

Yes! sounds like all they have done is add the upgrades sprue and redo the instructions. I'll get one when it's out.
