I have some Hobby Armor Depot vehicles on the way to be painted up and used in AE-WWII games and photos. Did you ever take pictures of them? Or how well do you like them? I have a Sdkfz 250 comming and was wondering how their stuff turned out

I had ordered a Sdkfz 250 from Hobby Armor Depot and I got it on Friday... I emailed to verify item was in stock before I sent in my order, so maybe thats what happened. Cause I was going to get another one but they said that they wouldn't get more till March. It is a good model for playing, it isn't the most detailed, but it isn't flimsy plastic either. I painted it, and will post pics very soon... Also finishing Krieghund squad one.

This is the only BA-64 I've found so far, and it took a lot of looking. Anyone got a less obscure way to get an armoured car?

Very nice find. Have you seen the British on bikes. They are on the Warlord site.

I'm not a big fan of the Warlord one... it looks... childish, model-y, or something. And the base makes it look like a toy. I will probably go with this:

You will have to send them an email and let them know what you are using the kits for.

I picked up a blister of RAFM Police Motorcycles. The blister contains 2 motorcycles and 1 sidecar with 2 drivers and 1 passenger. The bikes are pretty close to the US Army issue, except for the mud guards. I plan to add a Thompson SMG holster by using some putty around a loose Tamiya rifle. Then add some more bags on the back. I already removed the hats from the figures and added some 1/48 Tamiya helmets. Despite being a little more difficult than simply a headswap, this way I keep the goggles from the original heads. I also got a 1/48th scale Tamiya Kettinkrad.

Still haven't gotten them yet? Did you ever get those vehicles in from HAD? I'm looking to get a jeep for my airborne infantry/recon based force, but good looking jeeps are a bit hard to get for some reason. I need its 50cal to help deal with some of the nastier SD abominations I've been facing. Especially after a Rohlingsoldat one shot killed my M1919 Buffalo in cover with a Panzershrek. That or for quick mobilizations of the GIs I'll use to fill the green selections in my detachment.

For a good looking American jeep, get the Tamiya one (see www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXTCC9&P=7) although it is a little on the fragile side. I mail ordered mine from tower hobbies, but Brookhurst should also have one. I attached the MG pedestal to the floor of the jeep with small magnets, so it's removable (and rotatable) as well.
