thanks for the photo. It really looks pretty cool. Do you know if both kits costs the same more or less?? I'm thinking to buy one 222 for my germans

I just completed assembling my 222 and gave it a basecoat last night.
The kit cost me about $22 for the ICM kit, I think Tamiya listed it as over $30. I purchased it at a local hobby shop I recently found called Great Lakes Hobbies in Sterling Heights, MI.

I also have a Hobby Boss Sherman Tank I'm just finishing. I'd have to say for a Chinese model kit I was impressed with the quaility of the kit. However the directions left a lot to be desired. Anyways, the kit is featured here.

Excellent paint job on the M20! I finished assembling mine a week ago and need to get it painted here soon.

Seeing the light armor painted and on a table gets me pretty pumped up. I have to say that being a hard core tread head, the lack of heavy armor was one of the few things that had kept me orgionally from looking further into AE WWII ( Thanks to Zac for showing me the light ) And the interview I did with Malkcntent on the show of course. Even after all of that, and having the rule book, which I love btw! had not gotten me as charged up as the sight of that beautifully painted M-20. It has me drooling over what I can do with a Panzergrenadier detachment with a nicely camo painted SDKfz 250/1 Has my tread head blood boiling

With a cavalry detachment you can run two vehicles - say an M20 and a truck. Lots of options. And you should love the tank detachment coming out in the Occult Expansion as well as our Tumbleweed tank - search the forum for pics of the Tumbleweed from GenCon. Vehicles are a lot of fun in the game and make your detachments quite versatile. In an 'unplanned' scenario if you're running a vehicle and your opponent hasn't planned for it, they can have serious trouble taking it out. Now I just gotta get my M20 painted. -Matthew

I will definitely go Cav once I have a couple factions running.
I want to get a couple first that I can use to spread the faith a bit. I definitely want to have room for some of the wierd stuff and I think Panzergrenadiers will work best for that.
I have images of a pair of FlamingSolder abominations racing up to the enemy in the back of a Sdkfz 250/1
Cant wait for some of the really OTT stuff from Occult to add to the mix.
Of course a Tank Detachment will be irresistable for me to be sure.
I would love to have a stuart or PZKWIII at some point. A tiger would be a little OTT in anything but a huge multi detachement game, but light tanks could make for some cool additions at some point.

I picked up an old re-release of a very old Revel kit. A 1/48th scale Honest John Missile Transport. Basically a Kenworth semi with a flatbed trailer and a missile in a wood framework laying on it's back.
It's probably a bit too new for late WWII (the original kit was made in 1955), even 1947 but it makes a nice objective. I figured with my M20 and host of Jeeps, it would make a nice escort/ambush scenario.

I just picked up the Tamiya Sd Kfz 222 and American Jeep. Mail ordered them Saturday from www.towerhobbies.com/ and they showed up today. The Tamiya 222 is exactly the same as the ICM - the sprues and decals are all stamped "ICM". The only difference is an extra sprue from a tank kit (complete with extra tank treads, Axes, shovels, and other bits). FYI - On the main page of the tower hobbies plastic model site (http://www.plastic-models.com/) they have a $10 coupon code on orders over $50.

New Millennium Toys produces a line of prepainted diecast models in 1/48th scale that can be bought at Wal-Mart for about six bucks. Nice detail and good heft.

The New Millenium Toys also appear to be more readily available in different regions. Do a search on the boards at The Miniatures Page and you will see what I mean! ;D I live in the Phoenix, AZ area and have only found a couple of PZ 38(T)s. There seems to be a pretty good selection on eBay but you will(of course)pay 2-3 times what the store cost would be. That said, if that is the only way, that is the way you must go! Maybe with the holiday season coming up, WalMart and Toys R Us will restock.

Please let us know how that turns up.
In my inquiries about this company I haven't gotten much back. There was a few complaints on service, but nothing specific.
