You can swing by and meet Matthew and I at the Demo games. Fantization will be stocking our full range of miniatures this year. Darkson Designs will not have a boot as we wanted to concentrate on the games, meeting folks, and answering questions.
If you drop by make sure to check out the Occult book sample that we will have with us. ;D
Welcome to the forum neolis.
Cheers, Robert

My brain is mush! I lost my voice yesterday and it's only now recovering. I guess these mean I had a good weekend! GenCon was fantastic! Robert and I had a blast and were really happy to meet so many great folks. We had a great response to our events, especially the Pulp City crossover event, as well as the preview models and occult book. Everyone we met was really great and we received lots of good feedback about the game. As a game designer, it means a lot when people I've never met compliment my work. Really, it makes all the difference in the world and encourages me more than anything. I have to give a big 'thanks' to everyone who took the time to come by our games. Our six-game campaign went fantastic. The premise revolved around Allied Soviet/American forces tracking down the SD/Wehrmacht and Russian Liberation Army as they fled into the wilderness. We introduced some of our occult rules bringing ROA cultists onto the battlefield as well as some new goodies from the new book such as a new Soviet psi unit and the much-anticipated Tumbleweed tank. The first few games went to the Allies, but were very close. The first game was won by attrition rates that were so close as to come down to a few models. After their initial victories, the Allies found themselves facing growing Axis resistance. The middle two games resulted in ties as the Axis just would not go down without a fight. These ties led to an even-handed massive battle on Saturday morning where the Allies fielded the Tumbleweed tank for the first time. Despite some early victories, the Allies were pushed back and lost the showdown, but it was still very close. The saving grace of the large battle was the ROA 'Child of the Prophet' who was able to mentally command the crew of the tank, effectively shutting it down. After the defeat, the Allies found themselves surrounded by the enemy and a final, bitter battle was fought trying to escape the Axis net. The Allies were wiped out to a man, but not before routing the German forces and leaving the ROA controlling the field of battle. All in all, every single scenario was VERY close. I think this shows that we've got a nice, balanced game and the new rules fit right into what we've already got. Yesterday, with literally NO voice left, we ran the first AE-WWII/Pulp City crossover events! The first event used the AE-WWII rules as Pulp City heroes and villains arrived in our alternate past to wreak havoc among an already chaotic war. The game had the Americans, with a few British occult allies, attacked by the German SS and their dark occultists who were fighting alongside their supreme allies. As the battle began, the heroes from Pulp City arrived to aid the Americans, who gave stiff resistance to the Germans. The game resulted in a draw, with only three of the supremes remaining. It was great and, with a little tweaking, the conversions worked great. Sunday afternoon (as LarkinVain has already mentioned) the Pulp City villains succeeded in winning the day, but it was VERY close. Maciej did a great job converting over our units into Pulp City minions and the OSS Agent made an appearance as a supreme. The game was a lot of fun and it was great to get a game of Pulp City in. Again, the conversions worked fantastic and I plan to convert a few more of our stuff over into the Pulp City rules. All in all, it was a wonderful time. I'm worn out, but that shows how much fun I was having. We've come away from GenCon with lots of new ideas and lots of new friends. It was great to see all our old friends and we had quite a few folks come by that played in our events last year. Thanks again to everyone that came by. Without our fans, we've got nothing. You can expect to see the GenCon stuff (all of it) in the next issue of Over the Wire. Can't wait until next year! -Matthew

The game I played was a lot of fun. Was really sweet to get a taste of what the new Occult expansion is gonna look like. The ROA is gonna be fun. I think my favorite was watching the Krieghund squad go to work on those GI's!
