Anti-Shotgun Zombies Green (literally) Undead
M RC CC A S DR W 2 - 2 2 4 - 2
Composition: 5 zombies Equipment: None Special Abilities: Impervious 6+,Unintelligent, Frightening, Immunity: Shotgun, Coup-de-Grace
Despite the best efforts of all sides to limit the use of one's own dead soldiers, a directive handed down from the engineers of the war, with the advent of the un-Aim-able shotgun, zombies became a useful anti-shotgun tool, especially in the Pacific Theatre where Marines use the weapon almost exclusively. They are fully resistant to any shotgun damage. However, zombies can be killed instantly using a technique called the coup-de-grace which, despite its French name, has been exceedingly effective. Any wound the zombie sustains in CC while it is outnumbered automatically kills it. An individual or squad with the Aim ability may spend 1 AP to target a zombie's head, and on a successful hit, will kill it outright regardless of armour or cover.

I think Rob's head just exploded. I would totally use that unit, though. Oh, and speaking of Rob, I got a promotion, so take that Mr. Three upside-down chevrons with a star and weird bendy chevron at the bottom, what with your tiger stripe digital camies and what have you. So I am now tied for highest ranking American service member on the forums who is still active (I assume).

I do like zombies, and I think an Japanese spin on them would be cool. There's no denying that there are German zombies in other games out there, but I don't recall many Asian ones in a weird war setting.

One making the trip from A-Stan to play in the Comp at Gen Con on Sat. One of our sculptors is a Major in the Core. This game truly is "By Service men for Service men" no joke.

Well then I stand corrected. I thought you were a SSGT, right? That is like a star in the middle and three chevrons behind it and then one more kindda bendy one under the star and other stripes. I never did get down all of the AF ranks. Navy, Marine and Army I know, but AF always confused me a bit. Fortunately most of you guys don't mind just going by 'Sergeant' whether you are a Staff Sergeant or a Tech Sergeant or what have you. So maybe we are tied for top enlisted American service members? Well at any rate I was just joking around and truth be told, Rob with his weird tiger stripe cammies has done a lot more cool stuff than me. I mostly guard things. But I guard them well, dammit.

Is that what you guys call it? At least it isn't as bad as the new Navy cammies. If you are on a ship, and you fall off, why would you want a uniform that blends in with the sea?!

Of Course! How could I miss that?! In all honesty, with out getting all Ooh-rah moto Marine Corps (I'm definitely not moto), I think our camies look the best. Our deserts are actually tan, and our woodlands are actually green, not a weird greenish- blueish- gray. But we (mostly me) have seriously derailed this thread, and for that I am sorry. Back to the topic at hand, what if the shotguns reduced the armor bonus given by cover? Not ignore it entirely, just reduce it by 1 or something to represent the fact that bushes and shrubs that normally offer more concealment than anything else aren't effective at stopping a cloud of shot and even a brick wall won't help unless you are completely behind it. The only problem is that if there are too many special rules it may bog down the game. It is a fine line, one one hand, shotguns operate completely differently in their effects from regular slug weapons and you want to represent that. But on the other, you don't want to make them too special. I am still a big fan of the cone of effect, though.

I like the reducing of cover a little - maybe with a little playtesting we can write the shotgun rules for Matt. That way its one less excuse for him to get us the expansions we've been drooling over!!!
