I've been looking all day for a handy and simple way to create Stat Cards for the game, which I hope will make it much faster and easier to play. So far, I've found no simple idiot proof solution, but plenty of hardcore programmer possibilities. The one I think is best suited is no doubt Magic Set Editor. But since I lack all computer programming skills asociated with creating something using this program I kept looking. The only thing I found in the end was, BigHugeLabs online creator that was comparatively easy to use. I came up with a template I'll try to photoshop something out of. And if that doesn't work I'll probably have to make a start from scratch attempt in Photoshop. Here is an example of what I came up with. I hope you don't mind I used the online shop photos for the image. Fonts will be changed in the final statcard. Only Times New Roman was available in the creator I used and I don't like that Font.

Pretty cool. Like the result and think would be very useful on games. I'm always looking the books while playing

Thank you. I was thinking of putting the Frontcover of the Core Rulebook on the backside of the cards as I think that would look cool. Since I already own a digital copy of that book it would probably be quite easy to do a screen capture and downsize it.

I've got stat cards made up for AE-WWII, as well as Special Orders, Secondary Objectives and even some Detachment cheat sheets. Also I have some stat cards for tanks too.
I used an Excel file that I made that puts 4 2-sided standard cards on an 8.5 x 11 " sheet of paper. You then just cut them out, fold them in half and stuff them in a penny card sleeve (far cheaper than laminating them). For added stiffness I stuff an old playing card in them.
The cards are in a format similar to what you see with Warmachine or Rezolution where all the stats and special rules are listed on the card. I find this format works great for running demos and teaching new players. It also works well with play testing, we've used stat cards made on the playtest material and it makes for some quick play and avoids a lot of page flipping.
The Excel format allows for fast creation of cards, because the rules fit into cells and I just copy and paste the appropriate cells. Graphically it's not as fancy as
I shown thes to Rob and Chris at Gen Con this past year. They are in support of them. I think they do want to post them up on the site, but right now I need to rework them with some new graphics. If Rob want's to host them when I'm done, I'll be happy to turn them over. Right now it's really about getting some time to redo the cards.

I was thinking of using excel myself as well, but I fancy the graphical side of things too much I guess. I want eye candy on the table, and this was my way out, especially because I am a lousy painter.

I was just about to upload a few pages of my reformatted stat cards to show you an example of what I'm working on with my Excel stat card worksheet. However, for some reason, this thread won't allow any file uploads.

I think it might be a setting for this particular sub-forum. Someone with Admin rights should be able to adjust it. I did post however 2 sample pages of my newly updated cards (still working on the rest) on the thread for Detachment Building Guide.

I don't see any settings on my end as Admin. I wonder if Darkson or Abbysdad has more options than me?
I bet it's just part of Proboards and their settings.
Like I said, I can host them as well as posting them in the downloads section on the main site.

Hey, just to let you know that I almost have the American stat cards redone. I worked on them over the weekend and need some proof-reading.
