so far we've seen lots of discussion and suggestions for rifles and other weapons, but what about armour? were there already kevlar or bullet proof vests during WWII? Would we have something to offer for players?
Ideas? Suggestions?

Some sort of steel carapace looking possible in cityfight. May be some branch from a real line of protectoin gear development. Instead of cevlar some very light metall.

According to the concept art, the American troops have some type of flak weave armor.

I think any armour should be big and bulky and slow down troops a lot or basically make them pretty stationary firing from a weapons platform or operating a heavy weapon. I like the feel of troops being fragile for the most part.

What about some "automatic" medkit system inside the armour? Or is this too high tech? It would be something like when the armour gets penetrated and the model wounded, the medkit would immediatly insert morphine or something into the wearer or the armour.

Or maybe a tourniquet or compression bandage which would expand and slow bleeding.

something like would be cool, but would you put that inside the armour of every trooper? I think that would be too expensive for governments to produce.

I doubt we'll be doing anything in the way of integrated medkits. I like the idea of the battlesuits just being personalized tanks that a pilot sits in. None of this hi-tech space marine kinda thing.

Automed stuff is ridiculous, but flexible armor is used both in the German (see concept art notes) and American (flak chestplate) armies. Flexible armor generally doesn't curtail your movement very much.
