It would be oh so kool to see the Little Katy salvo rocket on the turret of a tank or on the back of a 'walking tank'. How utterly kool.

Acording to a friend of mine, the Russians focused on this weapon in the could war when the Americans began experimenting with shooting down missiles: the idea was that no matter how many missils the Americans took down there would still be some left, kinda like the wawe attacks at Stalingrad, only with missiles!

Well, the Russians did stick Katyusha launchers on tank turrets (the T-70 being one example I can think of) but I can just imagine some walking tank-machine styled from the same boutique of such prominant trendsetters like T-34 and KV-1. Oh I can see it now, stomping away with two Katyusha launchers on each shoulder. Hella cool!

Exactly, I think DUST has an American walker with rockets on the top. Definately something for AE to do, stickign them on walking tanks should be great fun.

perhaps the nazis could have a nebelwerfer mounted on a walker to counter it?

That tank in your is an T-34 Calliope Sherman and doesn't carry a Katyusha Launcher. But the idea of a missile rack on a walker is a great idea.

I'm reading "War of the Rats" right now and they talk about these being mounted on American Ford trucks.

perhaps the nazis could have a nebelwerfer mounted on a walker to counter it? One of the guys at Lead Adventure has done a conversion of the West Wind Panzer mecha to mount a Rocket Pod on the arm Looks quite nasty

How about a Russian support unit, a single figure carrying 1 or 2 individual rockets and a lightweight bi-pod launcher. It could be a poor-man's mortar (which sort of fits the Soviet feel).

HIt could be a poor-man's mortar (which sort of fits the Soviet feel). So do mortars :-)
