With the release of the Core Rule Book we have had quite an influx of new blood. If you guys get a chance please post a little something here about yourself, and if you are looking for a game post your info in the "Player Locator" topic.

Hi Guys! Totally new recruit here ready to fight for the motherland and all that stuff. OK OK My wife treated me to the rulebook, both German & American starter forces plus a few extra bits and bobs along the way because I've been raving about it for eons and she decided it would shut me up while I get dragged off to one of those company conferences where "guests of employees" are supposed to attend the meetings too... While I'm staying at at the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas??... Get real!! I'm checking the bar, the beach and the fishing boats ;D It might sound strange buying two forces but we have an LGS where if it isn't big shiny and involves rolling tons of dice no one wants to play so, if I paint two sets hopefully I can sneakily drag some defectors back in time. I've had a flick through and it all seems great so far, I've just not had any luck finding what tells you how many of what you can have So will someone point me in the right direction or am i set to spend my whole week (I'm recovering from a big wreck) searching for it when I should be doing OT and all other fun stuffs... Now I'm hoping its real simple as the Chumans at the LGS aren't too good at smarts but we'll see! Cheers and stuff Feuersoldat3 aka Dave

feuersoldat3 welcome to the forum and welcome to AE.

Page 70 is the Force Organization section. This is where you pick the type of Detachment you want to play. To see how many miniatures are in each selection go to the Faction list you want to play and in Composition it will say 2 PSI Commandos or 1 PSI Officer.
You could also check out the Armybuilder file if you have Armybuilder. ;D

Thanks Darkson... this will be a shock to my locals being told what they can play and it's not DBA! ... I can see tears already To me it sounds bloody perfect and I'm sure with the ammount of youspent before releasing the book (Adiken being a prime example of how not to do things) that it's going to be well balanced too!

You hit the nail on the head. We took a lot of time with the rules because we wanted to make sure we put out a game that people would want to play. We did not want to be pressured by " Did you here Reaper is releasing a game?" or " I here so and so is almost finished with their game!" . We have spent two years and loads of play testing to make sure we were happy with the game. From all of the personal email and feedback we have received it was worth it. With out the great fan support and feedback we would just be another company trying to push a rules system that is so so. The adventure is just beginning for the fans of AE. There is a lot in-store for you guys. If only you could see what is going on behind the scenes...... Enough said! Hang on for a ride known as AE.... Cheers, Robert

Well its a conference paid for by my wifes firm so, when I'm supposed to be yawning at whatever their next plan is I'll be playing hookey in our room and sat looking over the balcony reading the history part of the book as that won't get a look in otherwise and I'm desparate to play already ;D

Ah but how long can it be till zombies creep in - they can be sneaky like that
Hopefully the genetics, tech and psi stuff will keep people busy enough - though I admit my Vampire unit is already drifting into the undead realm - just not the brains end of it
