Are we allowed to use minis from other companies? To represent (converted of course) things from AE? Like jeeps, MG 42's etc? Vehicles are obviously no big deal. If there's a model we haven't produced yet (like the German heavy weapons), then I don't mind if you use another company's figures. I think, because of the low response we've gotten, we're going to be pretty lax about the painted/our minis requirements this year.

i think demos right before gencon may boost the attendance. i wouldn't mind letting people play with a few spare minis i have laying around. I know last year TTG'ers ran a tournament and many of the players were people that just started playing the game that afternoon. It had a decent turnout.

I think my big worry is the 6 hour time frame in mid Saturday (prime gencon time). I haven't signed up because i still don't know where I'll be that day. Perhaps modify parts of the scenario allowing some people to come and go? That might break the competitiion and the story, true but it might get some people off the fence.
I love the bring your own force (painted). I need the kick in the pants to do something.
I will definitely swing by even if i can't stya the entire 6 hours.

Hi,
I agree with the kick start to painting my mini's. I've been lax about that lately.
The PodThralls just did their episode on the different types of tourney and Con experiences. They came to the conclusion that small "competitive campaign" style events were pretty cool. From what I've played in the core book, I think the campaign at the CON could be a lot of fun.
And the 6 hour requirement means that my wife won't kill me for spending too much money!
But I'd like to see what the rules for the campaign will be or at least get a general idea of how it will work. Not because I want to min/max a detachment. I just don't want to be that guy who's reading the rules while I'm trying to figure out what I need to do that turn.
Best Regards,
Chris

So we are going to be hooking up some sweet prizes for the big game on Saturday. We will have some AE swag that has not been released yet as well as some great stuff from Vallejo. The only way to get in on the prize action is to get in the game. More info on the prizes as we get closer to the Con. One prize that I know for sure will be rolling it's way to the lucky player.

yes i think if you give players more of a description of what will be done or what is expected you will get more responses. I am still on the fence though i am leaning highly on playing AE on Saturday because i know that it will be fun.

Any chance we can get an idea of what is going to be available for AE-WW2 at GenCon? I'm trying to prep my ninja shopper I know there is the German One Man Army and the Tumbleweed. Any other Occult items? Is the book going to be ready in time? I assume that AE-Bounty is demo only, and isn't ready yet, right? thanks in advance!

I know that I am working most of the Exhibit hall hours this year, so unless an event is in the evening, I won't be participating this year.
Will the AE crew be holding any demos or events after exhibit hours this year, or will they be too beat by that time?
Thanks Robyn

Any other Occult items? Is the book going to be ready in time? All four ROA releases for August will be there, as will our single-part American GI's. The book will definitely be there as well. Correct, but we will have our first ten sculpts of Bounty there - so plenty of sci-fi models for you to choose from.
