Japanese would be good to see, especially with the release of The Pacific early next year. Maybe an OTW covering 'normal' Japanese troops (much like the British one) would be enough to get people through while you finish the European Book first. That's a good idea. Actually, let's take that a step farther. It'd be a great idea to do OTW treatments, like the Brits got before Occult, for all the major countries out there, for the non-Weird forces. I realize this would be a big chore for the rules monkeys, but would be a good resource to get new players into the game. (And by this I mean, I know we're not going to get the French for a while.)

For the British we already have started to support in the form of Occult troops. We will do quailty miniature at our pace with weapons that look like weapons. We will not rush crap out just to try to beat "the other guys". We have a lot of sculpts that have yet to see the light of day some of which you talked about.
In our games you are free to use whatever miniatures you like we just need to make sure that we have the rules so you can use them and we will get to releasing quality Darkson figs as our projects progress.
The Pulp/Weird types are the best place for us to start as we have been vey orignal in our ideas and will keep doing what we do best. That is giving you a sick miniatures, real looking weapons, background rich, story filled, historical/weird/ alternate WWII game that is still set in the war and not in some wanna be Sci Fi tangent.
Ok stepping of the soap box now. Back to talking about the Pacific.
Funny thing is we can and will support all sorts of different areas of the war through OTW and expansion book. We really have not dove into the Euro war in detail that has been released yet and we could go either way and I feel that our fans will dig whatever we cover as we make sure to do our homework on a theater that we cover.
So have at it post troop types, creatures, weird units, hero types. We are always ready to add fan ideas if they fit with the direction AE is going.
Cheers, Robert

I'd rather see quality over quantity, just making the point that this is a slow business and there is a huge amount of colour for Europe that hasn't been dealt with even before one goes to the Far East. I do like Scorpios idea a lot. Perhaps AEWW2 players could be allowed to create fan-lists for Beta testing which could be released via OTW?

Really, I think any Japanese list would be incomplete without a Totoro-esque creature!

Damn I really started something here! I agree with the OTW idea (love the Lovat Scouts by the way) even if there is no weird stuff to start with all the European factions like the Hungarians, Romanians, and Fascist Spanish could all be represented by the German list as a lot of their stuff was supplied by their German allies. Also the Communists in Spain could be represented by the Russian list.
Of course that is without the funky weird stuff.
While the Japanese have nothing, I'm not asking for a full list (yet!) but at least something would be good like the British got in OTW.
By the way you guys rule!!!!!!!!!

Oh, but it's just too easy to simply make everybody into Germans You only need to conquer Moscow to pull it off. I have some tenative ideas for Spain at the moment that I think will be alot of fun and help to further blur the lines of 'good guys' and 'bad guys'.

Here's a question - is the French Resistance still around? There's some potential there, as well as the Vichy and Free French forces.

...giving you a sick miniatures, real looking weapons, background rich, story filled, historical/weird/ alternate WWII game that is still set in the war and not in some wanna be Sci Fi tangent. Please do, the game you guys produce is unique and awesome. One of the best things about the game is it (weirdly) isn't too much pulp or sci-fi. Seems about just right to be very clearly WWII and not lose any flavor. SOTR kinda goes a in the opposite direction and it barely feels like its still WWII... So by all means, keep hitting us with that line of attack! Just don't get mired in the land war in Europe... Though if you do, I guess the IJA could always ride the Kamikaze divine wind across the continent and get those drop troops in to support the Axis in Europe To go along with the other sentiment here, Italy would be awesome to get in the game... And I'd be sorely tempted by commando Brits... and I'll even vote for the Free French as well.

Maquisards and the French Resistance in general will get looped into the Free French forces when we do them. Don't worry, we're not forgetting any of the major - or even minor - players in the war.

You mean we can expect to see the Fijians sometime in 2020? (They're bloody tough- lots of them serve in the British Army today).
