Howdy.
Well I'm not sure where to start... I love long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, and blowing my opponent up on the table top, oh and painting and converting.
I've been interested in AE-WW2 for a while, I love the concept. Played the demo rules and really enjoyed it, and most of all I really love all the minis! (Kreighunds and K-9s with doggles!)
Anyway, a few of us at my club recently bought some of the stuff. It all arrived yesterday so now I think it's a good a time as any to register up and get active in the AE-WW2 community!
I look forward to the many games I'll be having of AE-WW2 and all the awesome stuff coming in Occult (SS are a gogo!)
Cheers.

Hi. I'm Nate. I live in southeastern Virginia (Norfolk area) and have been wargaming off and on for about twenty years. I've been interested in AE-WWII for some time, but didn't take the plunge until I saw the drawings for the new SS and American occult stuff, which I find hugely impressive. I'm currently in the early stages of assembling American and German forces. I had a brief and distant acquaintance with Maurice/MKContra before he moved up to fake Virginia , so it's nice to see him around, and I look forward to interacting with the rest of you.

Hey Nate, welcome. I hope all is well. Good to see the game spreading. I'll let you know if I'm ever down in the area. We should hopefully be organizing some events up here in the future...

Hi,
I thought I'd introduce myself (being raised to be polite and all...): I live in the Netherlands (the western part,at least), and I've dabbled a bit in wargaming before, mostly GW stuff (as goes for many, I assume), but I was looking for a nice skirmish game I liked the look and feel of, and then I found this. I love the pulpy WWII background, and I must say the models are truly impressive! Main reason I was drawn in might be the Sturmaffe however, as it reminded me of a Tintin comic (The Black Island).
Anyway, I don't actually own any stuff yet as I'm holding off buying something until I've found a new job, but then I'll probably be looking to buy stuff for at least two factions, Germans and Americans, and maybe Russians too. With me owning multiple factions I hope it'll be easy to find someone willing to try a game.
Are there any plans on British models apart from the druid? I've seen the British rules in OTW and I'm really looking forward to seeing them as a fully fledged faction!

Welcome to the forums, Crazy Ivan! Are there any plans on British models apart from the druid? There is also the Greenman coming out in the Occult Expansion, but that's all I can remember right now. From what has been said, there will be more Brits (including the non-special units) in the next book.

Thanks guys! I've seen the Greenman, he looks very interesting (as well as the German Werewolf, which is really nice!)

I'm particularly hoping to see a certain Welsh Sergeant Major in there. ;D
Oooh, or some crashed British Airmen...

Personally, I'd love to see the British Home Guard, complete with sheep wearing helmets. Sadly, that probably that's right behind zombies and mecha on Darkson's list.

Hi I'm from Michigan. I love reading Weird War Tales and Haunted Tank comics. I also like WWII horror/sci fi movies like The Outpost, Deathwatch, Hellboy, etc. Needless to say this game is gold to me! It sounds weird to say I find WWII ok, but when injected w/ a dose of super science, and horror it becomes awesome. I am currently planning an American force w/ robot troopers (LOVE those figures!).

Welcome to AE. If you love the Robot Troopers you are going to dig on the story"A Tower Falls" from the Occult Book. It a cool Robot fight story.

Hey, just found this topic.
I'm just checking out the system, I had my first demo game over the weekend (Soviets vs. Germans). I currently play Warmachine, Infinity, Uncharted Seas, and Monsterpocalypse. So strictly speaking I don't really need another game, but this seems like a cool setting and something a bit different so here I am.
