Hello everyone, I'm in San Diego and just "found" AE. I picked up the core rule book from a local used bookstore. Great stuff. I like how members have been introducing BPRD into this system as well. It got me to thinking the Predators might like to play a visit :-) If there is anyone in San Diego area please let me know.....

Hit the player locator and let folks know where you play. I know Mike is down in your area and he is a great guy to play. He plays Yanks.
Welcome to the forum.

Hello everyone! I thought that should introduce myself as well here on the boards. I've been looking to starting some historical/pulp game for quite some time (have been gaming for over 15 years now) and I finally got convinced to jump in on AE over on the TGN boards. My three starter sets (damn those minis are nice!) arrived yesterday and today I got my (very nice) rulebook in the mail. So now I just have to convince the rest of my gaming group to play it with me. I'm located in Sweden btw. Now I just need my paint to arrive and then start painting. A task that feels a bit daunting considering how detailed the minis are

Welcome to AE. You may be our first Sweed very cool;). As for the painting start with blocking in colors and work your way down to the detail. Example paint all of the Airborn green and paint there skin so they are table ready. Do this with all of your figs as it is far better to have bulk color on all of your figs than to have some painted and others primed.
This is what I do when I am working on forces for the big con games.
Cheers, Robert

I have my US starter set coming in the mail, soon I hope. Then I need to find the other San Diego players. I know there are a couple here, somewhere......

Welcome to the forum. I know of a few guys in SD. Mike is a great guy to play but I think he runs Yanks as well. No worries you can always do a Blue on Blue conflict.

Dang, you guys are "quick". I got the box of figures today. Thanks.... I PM'd Mike a while back. Once I get the hang of it, I might branch out with another faction.

HOWDY EVERYONE!
My name is DAWGIE and i am a long time tabltop miniatures and tactical RPG kinda gamer. i have played a lot of different genres, but, i have never left sci fi (started with STARGUARD, currently playing THWG 5150 and CR for sci fi games). at the risk of being stoned or tracked down by an angry mob who know/like the AE rules system, i must confess to being completely ignorant about them until a day or two ago: had no idea they existed. soooo, here i am after following a link from TMP, to check things out for myself, and maybe even buy the rules, some toys, and play the game.
i live in west TN, i was active at RBI group get togethers for a short time as a visitor, and i am a transplanted native born TEXAN. now days i do a lot of solo gaming because of the difficulty of getting around away from home except for medical and other necessities (i no longer drive and i use a power chair); this is caused by old age, & health problems brought on by my somewhat colorful "yute" as a soldier. i have recently returned to the www after getting MAC repaired; before that for the last 2 years my www time has been rather hit and miss. now that i am back, i am indeed a cyberspace wanderer (y'all might find me anywhere, anytime, on line). besides playing with toys, i convert, paint, make terrain pieces from scratch, create/write wargames scenarios, have been know to play test a game or two, read books, watch tv, play video games, have an insatiable desire to do/see/learn new things, and play door keeper for TEUFFY the ancient pitbull who is sprawled beside the powerchair as i type. TEUFFY snores - loudly in his old age!
soooo, what's the WORD UP around these parts?
DAWGIE

Hi everybody, I just stumpled upon AE-WWII by chance while searching the net for "WWI and WWII mixed with occult/horror" Pulp novels and this game (especially the Occult Exp.) seems to have it all. Damn great stuff!! Though it's not a novel or else... Seems like my Tabletop career has to take a restart (stopped laying Warhammer and War Machine about three years ago due to lack of time). FANTASTIC JOB, GUYS at Darkson Designs! I'm blown away by the fluff! This is War Themed Pulp as it should be!

Hello to everyone.
I've just gotten myself into the game. I've not really got far into it as of yet but I like what I've seen. Not really a great mini painter but I get by, though I am excited about getting to try making some terrain for the system.

Welcome to the board!
Don't worry about not being an ace mini painter. I'm definitely not. I just try to get better bit by bit and the rest of the time I have a blast playing with toy soldiers.

Hello all, I'm also a newb hereabouts, but as soon as I saw the minis I was promptly blown away by their coolness factor, and after looking at the reference list in the rulebook I can see discovering this game was fated. I have plunged in, bought my Germans, and am trying to stir my local gaming group into playing this awesome game. I'm a long time wargamer, going on 15 years of playing and painting now, and I love skirmish games. Confrontation, Infinity, and Malifaux are the main ones I play, but I'm absolutely excited about starting in on this game! Great fluff, brilliant concept (Skirmish scale, vehicle light 28 mm WWII with actually awesome minis is just mind boggling! Usually historical games just put me off, but this one snagged my attention immediately. Hellboy-esque stuff? OSS model after Mr. Blazkowitz? Yes please! Besides, I hate fiddly 15mm >,<) , nice rules, great models that I can't wait to paint...! My excitement has had me researching german camo schemes and seeking out where I can buy Tamiya 1:48 vehicles ! Beyond wanting to give greetings, all I can say is I look forward to the day the Pacific theater is incorporated! Tennoh heika banzai!
